Now where did I put that notepad?

Quick, make a list of all the times you remembered you’d forgotten something last week.  How long is your list?  I’m embarrassed to tell you how long my list is.  But, and this is a BIG but, the experts say that if you can remember that you have forgotten something, then you are doing okay.

I don’t know about you but I am really glad to hear that.  Mind you, I have been having difficulty remembering things since I was much younger.  It seems as though most of my errands were handled in groups of two: like two trips to the ...

On my learning to drive; it wasn't pretty!

Learning to drive is a milestone. Getting your driver's license is another.  It is a sign of coming of age and a monumental leap towards independence.  Exciting times for young adults and parents alike.  A surge of adrenaline flows in both albeit for different reasons.

My parents owned a Black Ford Consul which my father taught me to drive on old country roads out behind our local hospital.  That is where I learned as much about the patience of a father as I did about driving a ...

Being "shack wacky" is usually my state of mind once winter begins its retreat. I just can't wait to get outside and blow out the cobwebs and ...

So much for the cell phone 'quick start'.

Well, I finally got one.  I'd been needing a new one for quite some time.  I had grown tired of missing out by not being able to capture instantaneous photos with my old one.  Standing idle while others whipped out their cell phones to point and click the fun shots as they were happening was more than just a wee bit annoying.

But, that was a problem I could easily solve just by going shopping; so that's exactly what I did.  Have you bought one lately?  When did it become so complicated?  Just listening to the sales clerk get excited about all the "apps" on the various phones made me want to ...
